Rosa Parks: A Hero for All
Rosa Parks wasn't just any woman. She was a brave and kind person who stood up for what was right, even when it was scary.
Imagine a time when buses had special seats for white people and special seats for Black people. Rosa Parks, a Black woman, was tired of this unfair rule. One day, she was riding the bus and the driver told her to give up her seat to a white man.
Most people would have obeyed, but Rosa Parks said, "No." She knew it wasn't fair, and she refused to move.
This simple act of courage sparked a huge change! Black people in the city of Montgomery, Alabama, decided to boycott the buses. They refused to ride them until the unfair rules were changed.
Rosa Parks's brave stand inspired many people and helped to end segregation on buses. She showed the world that even one person can make a big difference.
What can we learn from Rosa Parks?
We can stand up for what is right, even when it's hard.
We can use our voices to make a difference in the world.
